ARES Robotics is FTC Team #14492 out of Grass Valley, California — students designing, building, and programming a competition robot from the ground up, season after season.
A running log of the tournaments ARES has shown up to — wins, nominations, and the matches that pushed the team further.
Competed at their final qualifier of the season alongside sister team ACME Robotics.
Second tournament of the season, competing alongside ACME Robotics.
Invited to help run the event as volunteers, alongside ACME and another Reno-area team.
Competed at the regional championship level against the strongest teams in Northern California.
ARES Robotics formed for the 2018–2019 season as the sister team to ACME Robotics — the first time Nevada County fielded two FTC teams at once.
Each season the team splits across build, programming, and strategy to design, wire, and code a robot from scratch for that year's FIRST Tech Challenge game — then takes it to qualifiers, regionals, and state.
During the school year, ARES mentors a FIRST LEGO League team at Mount St. Mary's Middle School — passing on what they've learned to the next wave of student roboticists.
Parts, registration fees, and travel to regionals all add up. If your business wants to back a student robotics team, we'd love to talk.
